Rich Schultz, J.D.
I have been preparing individual and business tax returns and consulting on small business challenges as a side business for over 20 years. My interest in tax compliance started in my teens when I worked for H&R Block and grew as I worked for several accountants and small businesses.
Between college and law school, I started a business focused on individual tax preparation and small business support services. My offering included: preparing and filing on income tax returns, bookkeeping, advising and supporting QuickBooks and Peachtree software users, compiling payroll records and tax returns, creating automating procedures, and advising on new business startup planning.
After completing law school and passing the bar exam, I worked for ADP (Fortune 250 HR and Payroll giant) for over 16 years. I served in various roles but focused primarily on tax. I was also a Credentialed Tax Expert for Intuit/Turbo Tax.
I strive to help people understand their tax situation, to minimize their tax liability while complying with the law, and to plan for the future.

I collect nonpublic personal information about you that is provided to me:
- by you during interviews or on intake/update forms, tax preparation worksheets and other documents;
- obtained by me with your authorization;
- or, from your transactions with me or others.
Parties to Whom I Disclose Information
For current and former clients, I do not disclose any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of my practice, except as required or permitted by law or you authorize me in writing to do so.
Protecting the Confidentiality and Security of Current and Former Client Information
I retain records relating to professional services that I provide so that I am better able to serve you and to comply with professional standards and requirements.
I restrict access to your personal and account information to those employees and associates who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. I maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
If you decide to become an inactive client, I will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
